What has is got to do with YOU?

Sites are needed for new houses. Existing and new businesses need to be supported. Rundown and derelict areas improved. Treasured landscapes, wildlife and historic buildings need to be appropriately protected or enhanced. Natural resources need to be used wisely. Communities need to be able to enjoy a good quality of life with access to facilities and services. New guidelines need to influence the location of shops, the development of renewable energy and better integrate transport with the use of land. The Structure Plan addresses all these issues, and others, and provides a basis for decisions on development over the next 15 years.
